Job description

Upperton Pharma Solutions is a Nottingham-based CDMO that specialises in the development and manufacture of pharmaceutical products, providing a complete service from early-stage feasibility to GMP clinical manufacture. Formulations cover a range of delivery routes, typically including oral (tablets & capsules), nasal, and inhaled.

Responsible for setting up & tracking project milestones from project kick-off through to project completion & are the principal non-technical client contact for their projects, and those of their direct reports.

Maintain a complete understanding of the project critical deliverables, including key project milestones, costs, invoicing & ensure all project stakeholders are fully informed of project status.

Deputise for the Associate Director, Project Management as required, and during periods of absence.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
  1. Proactively manage, plan & coordinate multiple projects from project kick off through to project completion to ensure delivered to agreed quality standards, met client specifications/expectations within the agreed timeline & budget
  2. To act as the main point of contact for clients during the project lifecycle & communicate client interaction to Business Development & multi-disciplinary Technical Teams as required
  3. Lead internal & customer facing project meetings taking notes & actions to support the project progress
  4. Create & deliver project communication plans, status updates, time plans, action logs & invoice milestones
  5. Work closely with the technical teams to accurately scope out change orders for any changes to projects
  6. Ensure the project team are informed of any project or operational issues or risks & escalate to the Associate Director, Project Management or relevant project ambassador
  7. Line management/support for project manager(s) and/or project co-ordinator(s)
  8. Lead & support continuous improvement projects
Essential Skills And Experience
  1. Relevant degree/professional/business qualified project manager and/or with a recognised project management qualification
  2. Experience working within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  3. Proven Experience Managing Stakeholders Across Multiple Business Functions
  4. Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross-functional environment
  5. Ability to anticipate issues before they occur and take proactive preventive measures
  6. A team worker with a collaborative approach
  7. Ability to communicate effectively with senior management
  8. Experience in managing people
  9. Strong IT skills
  10. Meticulous attention to detail
  11. Excellent planning and organisational skills
  12. Ability to work accurately under pressure and to meet deadlines
