Job summary

Join a leading independent technology and services provider as a Senior Project Manager.

Senior Project Manager

Contract:

01-Sep-26 to 01-Dec-26 (Initial 3 months plus)

Clearance required:

Security clearance

Hours:

37.5 hours a week. Monday to Friday working. Don't work every other Friday

Time:

9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Hybrid working. Regular attendance is required at AWE Aldermaston and Burghfield sites.- 2/3 days per week)

Summary of responsibilities:

Ideally DV Cleared. SC Cleared UK National may be acceptable.Senior Project Manager is required to provide project leadership and delivery oversight for client programmes. Responsible for end-to-end delivery, stakeholder management, governance, reporting, steering meetings, management of SharePoint and Castlepoint related activities, coordination of penetration testing activities, progression through customer-specific stage gates, and delivery against agreed timelines and outcomes. Resource will work closely with client stakeholders and selected third-party suppliers.

Experience required:

Yes. Proven Senior PM experience delivering complex projects within secure environments. Strong stakeholder management skills and gravitas. Experience managing governance, project controls, third-party suppliers, and technology deployments. Experience within Defence, Government or highly regulated environments desirable. SharePoint project experience preferred

What you're responsible for:

Your overall responsibility is for meeting the commitments made to customers and internal stakeholders to successfully deliver the assignment you are leading as defined in your terms of reference or project control documentation. These will be delivered alongside the agreed financial outcome of the assignment. In support of this, you're expected to understand and articulate to customers both what sells and delivers and have a good working knowledge of the technology/solution.

Skills and knowledge you require:

• Familiarity with the latest technologies and the ability to articulate the benefits in line with client propositions.
• Trained in project management methodology, for example Prince2, Agile Techniques.
• A demonstrable track record of delivering complex, high-risk assignments and multiple successful outcomes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Able to apply a variety of influencing skills to enable the required outcomes for your stakeholders, to enable positive assignment outcomes.
• Ability to apply a variety of approaches, including emotional intelligence with flexibility, to adapt personal style and approach to meet specific customer needs and to resolve conflicts.
• Understand and be able to articulate the wider context of the project you are leading.
• Ability to articulate the value of project management to internal and external customers

Additional tasks will include change management, business management, contract management, and being able to responsibly and effectively manage project finances. You may also have responsibility of a team.
