Job summary

AJP Recruitment client is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join their busy North East office. You will deliver complex offshore, marine, oil & gas, renewables and defence projects, managing technical work packages, coordinating suppliers and documenting compliance through the full lifecycle.

Candidates should have excellent planning, communication and stakeholder management skills, with knowledge of project management methodologies (APM, PRINCE2) and a background in mechanical engineering or

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering complex EPC projects in offshore, marine, oil & gas or renewables.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (APM, PRINCE2).
• Proven track record managing multiple suppliers/sub-contracts and budgets.
• Excellent communication, planning and stakeholder management skills.
• Membership of a recognised engineering body (e.g. IMechE) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver complex engineering projects across offshore, marine, oil & gas, renewables and defence sectors.
• Manage technical work packages, coordinate suppliers and subcontractors.
• Oversee project documentation and compliance through full lifecycle.
• Plan, risk, cost control and progress reporting for projects.
• Support QA, RAMS, HAZID and other mandatory reviews.
