Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer Maintenance to join our Maintenance & Developments team based out of our Head Office in Bilsthorpe.

What youll do:

  • Lead, design and manage the delivery of highway related construction and maintenance projects.
  • Provide specialist design, technical and cost advice to internal and external clients to support delivery.
  • Manage the evaluation and authorisation of externally designed engineering schemes on behalf of clients.
  • Collaborate with Vias Construction and Commercial Division to manage workflow to support achievement of company business plan.
  • To act as Principal Designer on low complexity highway and civil engineering projects, to comply with the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations.
  • Manage consultation, communication and liaison with clients and a wide range of stakeholders including members of the public and elected Members.

What were seeking:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject and post qualification relevant experience or equivalent knowledge gained through practical experience in a highway and/or civil engineering design environment.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer or Engineering Technician and Member of a Professional Institution (relevant discipline) or working towards with a development plan to gain chartership or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience demonstrated by CDP record?.
  • Strong ICT skills including competence in specialist computer applications used to support engineering design activities.
  • Extensive working knowledge of current highway and civil engineering design standards, contracts, and procedures and knowledge of health and safety, technical, traffic management and other legislation.
  • Experience of all stages of project implementation from feasibility to construction on site?.

Full UK driving Licence
