Job summary

MWH Treatment is seeking a Senior Project Engineer or Senior Contracts Engineer to join the site-based Delivery team with hybrid working options. You will manage design, construction, commissioning and handover of contracts to meet the timetable and budget while upholding health and safety standards.

You will report to the Project Manager and collaborate with clients and supply chain partners to optimise programmes, manage risk and drive value through practical, innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Essential: Project Management experience and delivery using NEC3 contracts.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in a construction-related discipline.
• Excellent oral and written communication with clients and end users.
• Understanding of Health and Safety legislation and CDM 2015.
• Experience delivering engineering projects with targets and programmes.

Responsibilities

• Input to, manage and update construction programmes ensuring milestones are met.
• Chair and participate in collaborative planning sessions with key stakeholders.
• Prepare and issue invitations to tender, analyse responses and recommend awards.
• Coordinate technical work between MWH engineering and supply chain partners.
• Manage day-to-day site management and escalate issues as needed.
• Review invoices for errors and omissions prior to payment.
• Maintain risk register and provide monthly updates.
• Attend Health & Safety, Progress and Coordination meetings.
• Report near misses/unsafe conditions to PM in collaboration with safety teams.
• Prepare pre-start packs and upload data to systems.
• Work with Quantity Surveyor to generate cost plans and monitor costs.
• Champion design liaison meetings with project stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to Health & Safety procedures throughout.
