Job description

Job Title: Senior Project Engineer / Associate Project Manager
Location: Southern California (Office & Field-Based)
Salary: Starting at $80,000+ (DOE – experience, education, and skill set)

Pierre Landscape is seeking a Senior Project Engineer / Associate Project Manager with a strong foundation in commercial construction—preferably in landscape construction and union project environments. We're looking for someone who brings a competitive spirit to win, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and lead day-to-day project management for commercial landscape construction projects

  • Coordinate effectively with field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients

  • Manage project documentation: RFIs, submittals, change orders, cost tracking, and schedules

  • Take ownership of a project up to $250K in year one

  • Scale to managing $2M+ in total job volume by year two

  • Ensure union labor compliance and safety protocols on-site

What You Bring:
  • 2–3 years of experience in Project Engineer or APM roles

  • Proven background in commercial construction; landscape construction experience preferred

  • Familiarity with union projects in Southern California

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through

  • Organized, diligent, and accountable under pressure

  • A competitive mindset and drive to succeed and deliver results

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead up and down the chain

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Landscape Architecture preferred

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
