Job Title: Senior Project Engineer x7

Location: Motherwell, Scotland

Contract Type: PAYE Contract

Pay Rate: £75,000 - £90,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day)

Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential extension up to 23 months)

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a leading defence project in Motherwell. You’ll be involved in delivering high-quality software products, working within a multi-disciplined team and adhering to recognised industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Produce innovative, high-quality software for defence developments.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplined team throughout the software development life cycle.
• Mentor junior team members and take responsibility for both your own and others' work.
• Lead assurance and review activities, ensuring compliance with configuration, release, and documentation standards.
• Translate requirements into software designs, implement solutions, and manage integration, configuration, release, and deployment.

Essential Experience:

• Background in Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems, and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
