We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join PM Group in our vibrant Manchester office.

Job Details

• Title: Senior Project Engineer
• Location: Manchester
• Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Projects and working closely with Project Managers, you will coordinate design activities of multi-discipline teams on large projects or a portfolio of smaller projects. You may also manage smaller or less complex projects independently within the office.

Effective communication is essential as you'll collaborate with design teams, management, and clients. Your key responsibilities include coordinating design teams, ensuring quality delivery, developing and implementing multi-discipline design programs, and chairing progress meetings. You will also ensure engineering activities align with business processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering or consultancy roles
• Degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., mechanical, chemical, electrical/control/instrumentation engineering)
• Working towards or achieved chartered engineer status
• Sector-specific experience, including Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Chemical, Petrochemical, Energy & Environmental, and Gas
• UK project experience, including exposure to construction and installation activities
• Knowledge of UK design standards
• Commercial awareness
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
