Job description

We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Aberdeen office on a staff or contract basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on some of the world's largest current and upcoming Offshore Windfarm projects. Reporting operationally to the Project Engineering Manager / Lead Engineer you will be supporting engineering scopes across large scale Foundations, Cables and EPCI projects and tenders.

What will you be doing?

  • Take responsibility for project documentation & deliverables, liaising with subcontractors and internal specialists to deliver within contract schedule.
  • Support interfaces & technical queries both externally and internally.
  • Support subcontractors to ensure design and fabrication takes place in compliance with both internal and external standards.
  • Ongoing review and monitoring of risks and opportunities to ensure these are identified, recorded, and suitably addressed.
  • Contribute to internal meetings, client and subcontractor meetings, yard visits, mobilisations, and offshore works as required.
  • Communicate best practice and lessons learned to other projects and stakeholders.

  • BEng / BSc or Meng / MSc in Civil / Mechanical / Offshore Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent.
  • Background in leading engineering packages in offshore wind or similar industries such as offshore oil and gas.
  • Ability to prioritise own and others' workload, managing both time and change control effectively.
  • Commitment to Continuing Professional Development and a desire to develop and mentor junior engineers.
