The Role
As a
Senior Project Engineer, you'll be at the heart of delivering outstanding AV and smart technology projects. You'll take ownership of installations on-site, oversee commissioning, and work closely with both technical and creative teams to ensure a seamless handover to clients. This role blends hands-on technical skill with project coordination and client interaction.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the on-site installation, setup, and commissioning of high-end AV, lighting, cinema, control, and networking systems
- Program and configure systems including Lutron Homeworks QS, Control4, and Crestron Home
- Carry out advanced IP networking tasks, including VLAN setup and Cisco configuration
- Calibrate audio systems using tools such as DIRAC
- Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, architects, and designers to ensure successful delivery
- Interpret technical drawings and architectural plans, raising any design or integration issues
- Carry out fault-finding, system testing, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle
- Deliver professional handovers and system training to end users
What You'll Need
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in high-end residential AV and smart home installations
- Strong practical knowledge of major AV, lighting, and control systems
- Proven hands-on experience with Lutron Homeworks QS (panel wiring/building), Control4, and/or Crestron Home
- Excellent understanding of wired and wireless network infrastructure
- Able to read technical drawings and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
- Strong troubleshooting and organisational abilities
- Full UK driving licence
Bonus Skills (Desirable)
- Advanced programming capabilities (Control4, Crestron Home, Lutron QS)
- Experience with audio calibration and sound engineering (DIRAC)
- Familiarity with HVAC control and motorised window treatments
- AVIXA CTS or AutoCAD proficiency
