Responsibilities

Assist the Engineering Director in delivering the Engineering Action Plan to develop and grow the engineering team supporting the SLC Engineering division's growth objectives.

Help develop a robust Engineering Assurance Process for managing design elements during project development and implementation, ensuring compliance with best practices, standards, and regulations.

Contribute to growing a Design Delivery team to facilitate in-house design development.

Conduct staff appraisals and regular one-to-one reviews to identify training and development needs for engineering staff.

Act as Delegated Engineer when necessary to support the development of other engineers.

Provide ongoing support and establish mechanisms for Project Engineers to enhance project delivery quality.

Report to the Engineering Director on the progress of engineering and technical project elements.

Collaborate with the Project Manager to establish effective working relationships.

Lead and inspire the engineering team.

Apply change, risk, and resource management, including early warning to management.

Manage personal resources and professional development, promoting equality and valuing diversity.
