The Senior Project Director will be responsible for the oversight and successful planning and execution of the IT Risk Mitigation Initiatives from start to finish, including but not limited to the following:
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of the IT Risk Mitigation Initiatives portfolio to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards;
- Oversee the development of detailed project plans, charters, timelines, resource plans, and provide day-to-day portfolio management throughout the initiatives' lifecycle;
- Build, communicate, and manage an integrated program plan (IPP);
- Manage the portfolio budget for all related initiatives and projects;
- Manage project risks and issues, taking corrective measures as needed;
- Oversee all projects within the portfolio and manage their interdependencies;
- Track and manage resource utilization of project staff and vendors across all streams;
- Support stakeholder communication and serve as the primary contact between leadership, technology teams, and key stakeholders;
- Align deliverables to outcomes with the aid of all stakeholders;
- Provide direction to project managers and teams to ensure objectives are met;
- Develop and implement processes for gating checkpoints, dashboards, and reports to support governance;
- Produce and manage status reports with the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) and ensure conformance to standards;
- Lead governance activities, including steering committee coordination and reporting;
- Report progress to executive committees, audit and finance committees, and the Board of Directors as required.
Minimum of 10 years' experience leading, supporting, overseeing, and managing technology programs of similar scope and scale, with a deep understanding of industry-recognized program and project management methodologies such as PMBOK.
Education & Certifications
The Senior Project Director should have certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP).

Work Hours & Location
The services shall be provided onsite at the WCB's facilities and from the contractor's facilities in Canada, unless otherwise agreed. The Director is expected to be onsite at least 50% of the time. Relocation is accepted.
