Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced project management professional to join PDP Midlands in Birmingham, Derby or Peterborough. The role offers strategic leadership across major, multidisciplinary infrastructure programmes from inception to completion.

You will mentor project managers, shape governance, manage client relationships and contribute to delivery excellence. Candidates should hold Chartered accreditation or equivalent, have extensive experience delivering large-scale projects, and

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in project management, engineering, science or related discipline.
• Chartered accreditation (ChPP, CEng, CSci) or equivalent membership.
• Extensive experience leading large-scale infrastructure programmes.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary design and construction teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and governance, risk and EV experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership as an Associate, with potential to operate at Director level on major projects.
• Lead delivery of projects, aligning with client requirements and business priorities.
• Establish robust governance, programme controls and delivery frameworks.
• Act as primary client interface, building trusted relationships for growth.
• Identify, assess and manage commercial, operational and delivery risks.
• Mentor project managers and develop capability across the team.
• Drive communication and coordination across internal teams and external partners.
• Develop delivery programmes, resource plans and execution strategies.
• Manage project financial performance including forecasting and EVA reporting.
• Support business development activities and framework opportunities.
• Lead project close-out, lessons learned and knowledge sharing.
