Title: Senior Project Controls Manager

Location: Milton Keynes (2 days on-site, 3 days remote)

Salary: up to £90,000 + bonus + package

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Controls Manager to join a forward-thinking consultancy who are delivering some of the UK’s most complex and high-profile projects.

The Senior Project Controls Manager will play a pivotal role on a complex construction programme - working with a collaborative, forward-thinking project delivery team, while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid working model.

As Senior Project Controls Manager, you’ll be responsible for the leadership, development, and delivery of all project controls functions, ensuring robust governance and accurate reporting across the programme. You’ll drive best practice in planning, cost management, risk management, and change control, working closely with both the client and contractor teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive project controls processes for a major programme.
  • Oversee integrated project schedules, cost reporting, risk and change management systems.
  • Produce accurate, insightful reporting to support informed decision-making at senior levels.
  • Proactively identify risks, trends, and opportunities, advising on corrective actions.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing project controls team.
  • Work closely with project leadership, commercial teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and control throughout project lifecycle.

Candidate

  • Proven experience as a Project Controls Manager/Senior Manager on major infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of all core project controls functions: planning, cost, risk, reporting, and change management.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Competence in project controls systems and software (Primavera P6, cost management tools, risk systems etc).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
