Job description

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of major infrastructure projects across Bristol and the South West, our client is looking for experienced Senior Project Controls Engineers or Senior Planners to join their expanding team.

They’re a leading consultancy in project management, cost management, and strategic advisory services, working across a wide range of sectors including defence, nuclear, rail, aviation, renewables, highways, and water/utilities,

Based in Bristol, you'll be part of a regional project controls team supporting major infrastructure programmes. This role is client-facing and may see you working either as part of a wider team or as the day-to-day contact for project delivery. The position offers a strong mix of site and home-based working, with flexibility built in.

You’ll play a key role in providing performance reporting and analysis, developing work breakdown structures, establishing progress and cost monitoring methods, and producing clear, data-driven project control reports. You’ll also work closely with project teams to build robust performance baselines and provide insight into project trends and performance.

What we’re looking for:

Experience in planning and controls, including schedule development, cost control, and analysis

Proficiency with key tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office

Solid understanding of engineering and construction management practices

Previous experience in complex infrastructure sectors such as nuclear, rail, highways, aviation, or defence

SC or DV clearance is desirable, but you must be eligible to obtain it

A collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate clearly with clients and teams
