At Leonardo, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Assurance Engineer within our Airborne Radar Quality Assurance Team in Edinburgh. This role involves working with Operations, Project Managers, Customers, Design/Development teams, and Purchasing/Suppliers to meet Customer requirements related to Leonardo UK's Products and Services. It offers a chance to bring your talents and be an integral part of Leonardo’s future.

Key Responsibility Areas

• Be an integral member of the Airborne Radar Quality team and the Integrated Project Teams (IPT), contributing to all aspects of Quality to ensure project success.
• Deliver assurance activities as defined by the IPT, maintaining relevance with changing project demands.
• Engage with operational and IPT risks and opportunities, supporting and leading where appropriate to drive progress.
• Agree on risk-based internal assessments with the IPT lead and ensure their completion, managing findings to closure.
• Analyze and communicate information to support escalation and decision-making related to IPT requirements.
• Lead instances of Non-Conformance and Failure on behalf of the IPT, ensuring issues are managed to closure internally and with external supply chain.
• Support and mentor junior members of the Assurance Team.

Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or equivalent experience in Defence, Electronics, or similar complex industries.
• Knowledge of Governance, AS9100 / ISO9001, and Continuous Improvement.
• Experience with Development and Design Assurance support throughout the lifecycle stages.
• Proficiency in Quality Tools such as Root Cause Corrective Action, Pattern Fault Lifecycle, Process Mapping, Verification, Validation, and First Article Inspection.
• Logical thinker capable of analyzing complex data into practical actions aligned with business goals.
• Good interpersonal skills and collaborative working style across functions.
• Effective time management, including prioritization and escalation.
• Experience working with Customers and Suppliers.
