Job Description:

As a surge of Higher Risk Building commissions increases, the practice needs an experienced project architect who can lead with confidence and keep every stakeholder aligned.

Responsibilities

  • Build fully coordinated ArchiCAD models, write robust specifications, and issue tender packs that meet Passivhaus performance targets.
  • Liaise daily with consultants, contractors, and approval bodies, translating complex regulations into clear actions that protect programme and budget.
  • Track project documentation and forecasts, reporting directly to the Technical Director while flagging risks early.
  • Going on-site for project supervision and coordination.

Skills & Experience

  • ARB or CIAT registered with proven UK delivery of HRB projects on site.
  • Track record of coordinating full construction information, managing design liability, and leading technical sign-offs.
  • Strong communicator who can negotiate solutions and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Working knowledge of the Building Safety Act, BR135 guidance, and current fire safety legislation.
  • Flexible working hours - 4 days in the office, 1 day WFH.
  • FTC - possibility of extension.
