Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders across the business, you’ll continuously scope out new solutions, conduct research and analysis, always with an eye on the long-term vision of the business. The Global Fleet and Product (GFP) team’s mission is to provide vehicles and services that enable Amazon to delight customers with our last-mile operations. This role in the GFP team is responsible for owning product strategy for electric vehicles (EV) across Europe, including evaluating current and new EVs, setting up testing and evaluation processes, designing strategies for new products and partnerships around EVs, and establishing roadmaps with auto OEM partners.

Key job responsibilities

• Define, prioritize, and plan Electric Vehicle programs/projects.
• Generate buy-in for the EU EV product vision with leadership and partner teams.
• Manage program execution ensuring project delivery meets quality standards and deadlines.
• Work cross-functionally with R&D, operations, and other product management teams.
• Partner with third-party partners, including OEMs and startups.
• Navigate innovative technologies to futureproof AMZL last mile fleet.
• Create vision and product roadmap for integrating new technologies.
• Own a full program budget.
• Drive continuous improvement throughout the EV lifecycle, leveraging in-field learnings.

A day in the life

As a Senior Programme Manager, you’ll drive and manage the implementation of creative, data-driven change at Amazon, leading improvement projects and programs. You’ll use strategic thinking to define and implement efficient project plans. You’ll handle complex challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership, contributing beyond process improvements to areas like diversity, equity, and inclusion.

About the team

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) handles last-mile delivery in partnership with third-party distributors. We focus on operations and innovative delivery solutions, including electric vehicles, to improve customer experience while reducing our carbon footprint. Our teams operate 24/7, supporting both in-house processing and delivery contractors through Amazon Flex.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• A degree.
• Relevant experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Automotive Engineering, or Product Management Leadership roles.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers at all levels.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools/systems, including Excel or similar.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced degree.
• Experience with auto OEMs or startups/tier-one suppliers.
• Experience with electric vehicle product management, engineering, or testing.
• Experience communicating with and influencing stakeholders, including senior management.
• Experience using data or anecdotal evidence to influence decisions.
• Experience leading new or startup projects requiring process definition, implementation, and iteration.
