Job summary

Aretiforce is seeking a Senior Programme Manager to lead strategic software and systems-led programmes that drive the growth of our wholesale product portfolio. You will combine SDLC and release management with deep knowledge of wholesale FTTP and Ethernet products to deliver value.

You will line-manage a team of project/programme managers, partner with senior leadership, and drive risk management, reporting, and continuous improvement across multiple workstreams.

Qualifications

• Significant programme management experience delivering software delivery programmes (SDLC, release management) in telecoms or connectivity.
• Experience leading and line-managing teams of project/programme managers.
• Strong knowledge of wholesale FTTP and Ethernet products.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Experience in a wholesale network operator or fibre infrastructure business.
• Knowledge of OSS/BSS platforms and order-to-activation systems.

• Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic software delivery programmes across the wholesale product portfolio.

Job description

The Senior Programme Manager leads strategic software and systems-led programmes supporting the growth of our wholesale product portfolio. This role requires a strong background in software/application delivery (SDLC, release management, engineering-led delivery) alongside deep knowledge of wholesale FTTP and Ethernet products.

The role carries direct line management responsibility for a team of project/programme managers and acts as a trusted delivery partner to senior leadership, providing prioritisation support and proactive management of programme risks and outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic software delivery programmes across the wholesale product portfolio.
• Lead, manage and develop a team of project/programme managers, including performance management and coaching.
• Act as subject matter expert for wholesale FTTP and Ethernet products.
• Manage programme plans, milestones, dependencies and risks across multiple workstreams.
• Work with Product, Engineering, Network, Operations and Commercial teams to plan software releases.
• Provide clear programme reporting and decision support to senior stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in software delivery methods and operational readiness.

• Significant programme management experience delivering software/application delivery programmes (SDLC, release management) within telecoms or connectivity environments — not primarily network build or infrastructure rollout.
• Demonstrable experience leading and line-managing teams of project/programme managers, including performance management and development.
• Strong technical and commercial understanding of wholesale FTTP and Ethernet products.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Experience within a wholesale network operator or fibre infrastructure business.
• Knowledge of OSS/BSS platforms and order-to-activation systems.
