Reporting into the Programming and Presentation Director, this role is responsible for leading the day-to-day programming workflows of the MENA kids channels and managing the Programming Coordinator in day-to-day workflows and systems support.

A great opportunity for a team player with enthusiasm and passion for kid’s content to join the MENA kids programming team and work across the Cartoon Network Arabic (FTA), Cartoon Network (PAY), and MENA Kids Fast Channel.

A critical role for the smooth running of the MENA kids channels, SVOD, and catch-up services, daily schedules ensuring the efficient flow of content to linear channels and multi-platform VOD/digital services. A key player in communicating and liaising with external affiliate platforms regarding VOD scheduling, curation, and promotion.

• Deputy to the Programming & Presentation Director to oversee the smooth running of the day-to-day departmental responsibilities.
• Programming Lead across the MENA Kids channels and VOD platforms and work with other teams to identify future scheduling needs and strategies.
• Overseeing and working across 3 MENA linear feeds, SVOD, and catch-up schedules.
• Manage 1 direct report, the Programming Coordinator. Support, train, and mentor the coordinator in day-to-day workflows.
• Create monthly programming schedules and highlights for all the channels in the region. Program plan the schedules on WON and oversee those entered by the Programming Coordinator.
• Manage the SVOD and Catch Up strategy for the region and lead the workflow by working closely with The Operations team to ensure timely delivery.
• Brief and lead creative for network and affiliate stunts to ensure alignment with programming strategy.
• Lead the workflow for dubbing orders and manage all dubbing orders for the content. Liaise and track the dubbing orders, delivery of the content, and work closely with the compliance team to ensure all programming passes compliance and is ingested within transmission deadlines.
• Lead the channel inventory and be the key person for updating new content within the inventory.
• Senior team member presenting the MENA kids programming strategy to internal and external partners.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with our affiliate partners through effective communication.
• Review and contribute to the acquisition of new content, reviewing suitable titles.
• Keep up to date by viewing new content on own and competitor channels.
• Super user on What’s On Scheduling system and main point of contact in the team to deal with issues, working with the support team to resolve these on the program planning side.
• Manage and onboard new staff members ensuring system training is achieved on the program planning side.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A passion and knowledge of kids programming.
• A professional understanding of the TV programming/production process and VOD services.
• Experience using a broadcast scheduling system.
