Job summary

Cape Clarke is seeking a Senior Professional Indemnity Solicitor in Newcastle with remote or hybrid work options and a base in Newcastle. Salary is up to £90,000 and will reflect experience. PQE guidance is provided to indicate the level of experience sought.

You will handle professional indemnity disputes, analyze liability and loss, and develop practical litigation and settlement strategies, with strong drafting, client reporting and deadline control as essential skills.

Senior Professional Indemnity Solicitor | Newcastle | Remote or hybrid | Up to £90,000

We are recruiting a solicitor with 3+ PQE for an insurance litigation team handling professional indemnity work in Newcastle.

You will work on complex disputes involving claims against professionals, including lawyers, accountants, insurance brokers, construction professionals, financial advisers and surveyors. The work involves analysing the underlying advice or services, liability, causation and loss and developing a practical litigation and settlement strategy.

You should bring experience managing professional indemnity or relevant defendant insurance disputes with appropriate independence. Strong drafting, client reporting and control of costs and deadlines are essential. The level and complexity of responsibility will reflect your background.

Remote or hybrid working is available with a Newcastle base. Salary up to £90,000 depending on experience. PQE is a guide to the experience sought.
