Overview

TXM Recruit are proudly representing our client, a market-leading manufacturer, in their search for a Senior Production Planner. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business during an exciting period of transformation, where you'll play a key role in shaping and advancing their planning processes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead planning transformation projects, including ERP/MRP upgrades, S&OP process enhancements, and digital tool implementation.
  • Develop and manage mid-to-long-term production schedules, balancing demand, capacity, and inventory.
  • Optimise planning and scheduling to improve throughput, reduce lead times, and minimise changeovers.
  • Use ERP/MRP data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement and enhance planning accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Engineering, and Commercial teams to align planning with business objectives.
  • Mentor and support junior planners, promoting a culture of accountability and best practice.
About You
  • A degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or similar.
  • 5+ years\' production planning experience in manufacturing, with at least 2+ years in a senior or lead role.
  • Strong ERP/MRP knowledge (SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, OMP) and data tools (Excel/Power BI).
  • Experience in planning transformation or S&OP development.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A background in Rail, Industrial, Aviation, Aerospace, or Defence would be highly advantageous.
