Job Description

To run the shift on a specific line, supervising a small team to ensure that food powder blends are packed to a set formulation in a safe, hygienic and efficient manner.
To lead by example, ensuring the team adhere to all Health and Safety and Food Safety culture requirements, policies and procedures at all times.
To guide and coach members of the team to ensure the production plan is achieved.
Continuously seek opportunities to improve production processes, and support a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Material Loading, product packing and stacking
Package control and labelling
Completion of paperwork /records
Weighing, Measuring, and Batch recording.
Basic equipment maintenance
General Cleaning
To work tidily as you go, clean and tidy the production area.

Qualifications

Have experience in a Food production environment is essential.

Demonstrates a proactive, continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities for process optimisation and drive ongoing enhancements to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
Must be open minded, accountable and a team player
Proven ability to coach/train team members
Must be literate, numerate and physically fit.
Proven ability to follow safety, quality and production standards.
Good communication skills, self-motivated with a strong attention to detail
Must achieve Basic Food Hygiene and Manual Handling Training.
A counterbalance forklift license would be beneficial but not essential.

Additional Information

Starting rate £14.00 per hour, rising to £14.75 on successful completion of probationary period
Shift allowance £70 per week
8 hour shifts - 12.45 to 20.45
25 days Holiday + 8 bank holidays
Access to the Reward Gateway
Up to 6% bonus based on achievement of KPI's, payable 6 monthly.
