INSPIRED Pet Nutrition is recruiting a Production and Raw Materials Planning Manager to join the Manufacturing site leadership team at Thirsk. You will translate demand forecasts into achievable production schedules and material plans, balancing service levels with inventory and capacity to deliver efficient operations.

You will lead a planning team, drive continuous improvement, manage budgets, and partner with Commercial and Supply Chain to optimise planning and materials availability across

Qualifications

• Broad supply chain knowledge from planning or supply chain roles.
• Experience in production or material planning within manufacturing.
• Understanding of forecasting, order processing and distribution planning.
• Experience managing a supplier base and material availability.
• Ability to balance service levels with costs and capacity.
• Financial awareness including budget management and cost control.
• Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical mindset with continuous improvement focus.
• Adaptable to a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning team to convert forecasts into production, material, and labour plans.
• Balance customer service, stock, capacity and cost efficiency.
• Develop and maintain production schedules and raw material plans.
• Coach and develop the planning team; maintain safe, high-performing environment.
• Support budget creation and manage expenditure for cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with Commercial and Supply Chain to build demand forecasts and S&OP inputs.
• Drive continuous improvement across planning and inventory processes.
