The Role: Senior Production Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our engineering team as a Senior Production Engineer to work on the world's first and only nanopore DNA sequencer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about new technology.

Responsibilities
  1. Work with management and contract manufacturers to define and develop assembly and production processes.
  2. Lead product and process validation, and participate in designing and implementing assembly fixtures.
  3. Develop and maintain production processes and quality standards for new and existing products.
  4. Identify and resolve production issues, improve product quality, and drive cost savings.
  5. Support manufacturing engineering for design transfer, process optimization, and data analysis.
  6. Create and maintain documentation such as process flows, drawings, specifications, and instructions.
  7. Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance yield.
Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will have a degree in mechanical engineering or similar, with significant industrial experience, preferably in regulated industries like medical or aerospace. Experience with manual and automated manufacturing, process validation, FMEAs, and documentation is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SolidWorks is desirable. The role suits proactive problem solvers who enjoy collaborative, fast-paced environments and making impactful contributions.
