NexGen Consultancy is currently recruiting for a Senior Production Engineer to join a well-established, global brand specializing in the Motorsport sector.

Hours of work: Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm / Friday: 7:30am - 3:30pm

Role Overview: Our client is seeking a motivated individual to join their Manufacturing Team as a Senior Production Engineer.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and implement new production methods, jigs, and fixtures to support the NPI process.
2. Create CNC programs for 3, 4, & 5 axis and mill-turn machines using NX CAM & Vericut.
3. Manage the effective release of new products into production.
4. Implement new cutting technologies to improve existing production methods.
5. Produce and maintain documentation such as Process Instructions, Test Instructions, and BOM contents for all product builds.
6. Assist with the implementation of staff training programs.
7. Manage cost containment initiatives.
8. Estimate production times and costs.
9. Check BOMs for structure and content.
10. Collaborate with supply chain on potential cost reduction programs.
11. Consider health, safety, environmental, and energy impacts of activities.
12. Support the company's compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policies and best practices.

Candidate Profile:

1. Experience programming complex automotive or aerospace components using CAD/CAM systems, preferably NX.
2. Apprentice trained with a relevant engineering qualification (HNC or higher).
3. Experience in fixture design with a strong understanding of GD&T.
4. Logical problem-solving skills, root cause analysis, and countermeasure development.
5. Strong planning and organizational skills, adaptable to change.
6. Experience with Vericut and SAP ERP system is advantageous.
