The Role

My client is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to join their infrastructure and tooling team. This role is focused on improving the performance, security, and developer experience of our platforms through automation, scalable architecture, and modern DevOps practices.

You'll be working at the core of a high-performance trading environment, supporting mission-critical services across Azure, Kubernetes, and custom CI/CD systems.

Key Responsibilities:

CI/CD and Platform Migration
Design and optimize Azure-based infrastructure components including AKS, managed identities, network controls, and secure storage.
Manage infrastructure state with Terraform, integrating into our GitOps workflows.
API and Automation Development (Java)
Security & Compliance Engineering
Observability and Incident Management

Technical Environment

CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Terraform, Concourse (legacy)

What You’ll Bring:

Deep experience designing and maintaining Azure-based infrastructure at scale.
Solid engineering skills in Java, particularly for backend systems and automation tools.
Proven ability to re-architect CI/CD systems, with hands-on experience in GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Helm.
Strong understanding of container orchestration and platform observability.
Familiarity with incident response in production environments.

Nice to Have:

Background in financial services, trading infrastructure, or regulated environments.
Experience with GitHub Enterprise, Argo CD patterns, or Kubernetes policy enforcement.
Contributions to open-source tooling in CI/CD, observability, or platform engineering.
