Senior Production Engineer

Bristol

£45,000 - £50,000 + Bonus + 33 days holiday + Benefits + Progression

Great opportunity has just become available to join a niche company in Bristol which operates at the forefront of its space. You will join as a Senior Production Engineer and undertake a very varied role, overseeing the design and build of production and assembly.

The Role:
  • Directly managing one person.
  • Oversee the design and build of assembly fixtures and production tooling.
  • Plan and oversee shop‑floor layout and process changes.
  • Support upgrades and commissioning of new and existing equipment to increase capacity.
  • Work with Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and adherence to PPM schedules.
  • Work with Production, Quality, and other departments to define effective work practices and critical processes.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers for equipment and service requirements.
  • Using Solidworks to design jigs and fixtures.
The Person:
  • Experience within Plastic/Automotive or FMCG environment, within assembly.
  • Working knowledge of 6 sigma.
  • ISO9001 experience.
  • Experienced with design of jigs and fixtures using Solidworks.
  • Knowledge and experience with manufacturing equipment used for an injection moulding process.
