SAVA is scaling a next-generation biosensor, seeking a Senior Production Chemist to turn validated chemistry into GMP-compliant manufacturing. You will own synthesis, QC and batch documentation for specialized polymers, building production from the ground up and driving quality.

This high-ownership role offers direct impact on a health technology with meaningful outcomes. Ideal candidates have GMP/QA/QC experience, strong multi-step synthesis skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Degree in chemistry or a related discipline and a minimum of 4+ years in chemical production.
• Hands-on GMP experience, with solid batch documentation practices.
• Strong multi-step synthesis and purification at 50–500 g scale.
• Proficient in QC techniques including NMR, HPLC, elemental analysis and KF.
• Detail-oriented with a quality-first mindset and CAPA/change control exposure.
• Experience with GMP documentation such as batch records and deviations.

Responsabilités

• Carry out GMP synthesis of sensor polymers using validated MPIs.
• Plan production to meet manufacturing demand.
• Support scale increases up to ~200 g with R&D.
• Manage raw materials, reagents and supplier CoAs.
• Perform QC testing using validated methods (NMR, HPLC, KF, elemental analysis).
• Review QC methods and align with GMP requirements.
• Investigate OOS results and drive CAPA.
• Maintain batch and QC records to GDP standards.
• Compile batch docs for QA review and release.
• Raise and support changes to MPIs, QCIs, SOPs.
• Keep production equipment calibrated and maintained.
• Support audits as the materials production expert.
• Help build the production function and mentor a junior chemist.
• Maintain safe working practices and risk assessments for scaled reactions.
