Job summary

SAVA is redefining health tech with cutting-edge biosensing materials. We are seeking a Senior Production Chemist to turn validated chemistry into GMP-compliant production, owning synthesis, QC, and batch documentation for our polymer components.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years in chemical production under GMP, strong multi-step synthesis skills, and experience with QC methods like NMR, HPLC, KF. Join us to build the production function and mentor others in a high-impact health technology

Qualifications

• Degree in chemistry or related discipline.
• 4+ years’ experience in a chemical production or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience working under GMP.
• Strong multi-step synthesis and purification at 50–500 g scale.
• Experience with QC techniques such as NMR, HPLC, elemental analysis and KF.
• Strong GMP documentation experience, including batch records, deviations, CAPA and change control.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Carry out GMP synthesis of sensor polymers using validated MPIs.
• Plan production to meet manufacturing demand.
• Support planned scale increases (up to ~200 g) in partnership with R&D.
• Manage raw materials, reagents and supplier CoAs.
• Perform QC testing using validated methods (e.g. NMR, HPLC, KF, elemental analysis).
• Critically review QC methods and specifications, and help bring them in line with GMP.
• Investigate OOS results and deviations, and drive CAPA.
• Maintain safe working practices, including risk assessments for scaled reactions.
