Job summary

Capital.com is seeking a Senior Product Owner to build fraud prevention and transaction monitoring capabilities as we expand into new markets. You will own the roadmap, translate threats into requirements, and lead rules/models with AI to auto-clear routine alerts.

Collaborate with Compliance, Data, Engineering and Operations to shape this new capability from the ground up and scale the team over time. This hybrid London-based role offers a competitive package and the opportunity to influence

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product ownership or management at senior level.
• Strong financial crime experience in fraud and money laundering.
• Hands-on experience building detection capabilities.
• Experience using AI or automation to reduce manual reviews.
• Excellent stakeholder management with Compliance.
• Experience releasing changes to live controls.
• Experience growing a product team is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the product roadmap for fraud prevention and transaction monitoring.
• Translate threats and risk scenarios into clear product requirements and criteria.
• Lead development of rules, models and preventive controls with cross-functional teams.
• Establish reliable data inputs and identify data gaps for resolution.
• Evaluate controls using historical data and realistic test scenarios.
• Deliver changes with testing, rollout plans, monitoring and rollback.
• Measure performance post-release and improve controls without simplifying alerts.
• Adapt capabilities to emerging threats, new products and markets.
• Coordinate delivery across product teams and control owners; escalate decisions.
