IntaPeople are currently supporting a fast-growing Fintech based in Cardiff. Due to continued growth and team size, they now require an experienced Product Owner to join their high performing delivery team. We’re looking for candidates who come from a Financial Services background (ideally within asset finance, loans, lending or mortgages) and who have experience managing the full end-to-end product life cycle.

As a Senior Product Owner you will be a senior member of the Product team and you will be responsible for organising, prioritising and refining work for our agile engineering teams. You will assist in creating, defining and delivering the product strategy, gather feature requests and coordinate the team's sprint cycles, ensuring quality and clarity of items and stories.

All of the below are essential for this role:

  • Proven experience working as a Product Owner/Manager within the Financial sector
  • Strong knowledge of industries such as Loans, Lending or Mortgages
  • Knowledge or experience working with financial concepts or asset/consumer finance
  • Experience working with a Software Delivery team
  • Strong experience managing all aspects of the product life-cycle
  • Proven experience in effectively communicating stories, epics and initiatives to engineering teams under a scrum methodology and use of supporting platforms such as JIRA, Azure DevOps.

If you have a Technical/Software background or understanding of software packages/tools such as Postman and Database this will be desirable but not essential.


Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Working closely with senior stakeholders and end clients to understand the business needs and translate into requirements
  • Incorporate feature requests into the Product backlog and Roadmap
  • Develop clear, understandable user stories and define easily understandable acceptance criteria
  • Gain an agreement and understanding from the team and set sprint goals
  • Plan releases and upgrades in collaboration with the delivery team
  • Analyse requirements and the needs of the end users

You will play a pivotal role in rolling out products that deliver on their organisations vision whilst being responsible for gathering requirements to and from a variety of stakeholders ensuring that they are aligned with the business objectives and the product .
