Role OverviewWe’re looking for a seasoned Product Manager (5+ years) to commandeer the User Experience for our Global Shipping Platform - an eCommerce engine within the eBay ecosystem that already processes 100s of millions of packages!
This role is your chance to shape how millions of eBay Sellers around the world ship their orders! You will be responsible for delivering an integrated, seamless experience that removes friction, boosts efficiency, and drives loyalty. You’ll define the direction of a platform that’s mission-critical to eBay’s marketplace, with the aim to expand our customer base, deepen our market footprint, and raise the industry bar for ease of use - setting the benchmark that competitors will strive to match. Craft & Evangelize UX-Driven Vision
Define a bold frontend vision rooted in user journey maps and market insights. Champion accessibility, internationalization, and clear design to ensure every interaction delights.
Execute through Rapid Prototyping & Validation
Partner with UX/UI to iterate wireframes, Figma flows, or lightweight HTML proofs. Facilitate design sprints and usability labs, and translate validated concepts into well-scoped stories and acceptance criteria.
Measure, Experiment & Iterate
Own success metrics (e.g., conversion lift, adoption, time-to-purchase), instrument events and build real-time dashboards. Run A/B tests with clear hypotheses, analyze results, and refine the product continuously.
Platform-First & Developer Experience
Build modular components and enforce design-system governance for reuse. Collaborate with Engineering teams on CI/CD, feature flags to ensure rapid, safe rollouts.
Lead Cross-Functional Alignment & Storytelling
Map complex workflows end-to-end, surface quantitative and qualitative insights, and frame them in compelling narratives. Align Legal, Finance, Ops, and Marketing to unblock launches and drive adoption.
Continuous Discovery & Growth Focus
Run user interviews, monitor in-product feedback, and host retrospectives to uncover pain points and opportunities - whether simplifying label printing or introducing new value-add services without sacrificing trust.
Ecommerce & Frontend Expertise
5+ years product management experience in eCommerce, launching 0 to 1 web and/or mobile products. Deep understanding of frontend architectures, native iOS/Android considerations, and internationalization/localization best practices.
Customer-Obsessed
Experience of building products with empathy for users’ mental models, constantly discovering how customers' needs change.
Creative, Metrics-Driven Problem Solver
Hypothesis-driven: you define clear success metrics, instrument analytics, run experiments, and prioritize build work to move the needle.
Exceptional Communicator & Facilitator
Adept at running co-creation workshops, design sprints, and cross-disciplinary demos. You tell data-informed stories that rally teams, influence stakeholders, and secure buy-in.
Platform-Oriented Thinker
Proven track record of building platforms that scale to new markets, new product offerings and business initiatives.
Prior experience in shipping or logistics products
Experience building and managing products with high traffic throughput (+1M users/day)
