Based in the UK with collaboration across the UK, Ireland and China, the role leads cross-functional teams, mentors engineers and evolves into broader leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Min 5 years of electrical design experience in low-voltage switchgear.
• Experience with external manufacturing partners and CAD tools.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsabilités

• Lead design and development of low-voltage switchgear meeting standards.
• Produce electrical schematics, layouts and specifications.
• Own selection and integration of power and control components.
• Provide technical leadership across the organisation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet specs.
• Manage new product development timelines and milestones.
• Conduct design reviews and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Troubleshoot design issues during development and testing.
• Create and maintain design documentation including test plans and reports.
• Liaise with global suppliers for development and delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a high-performance culture.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
