Job summary

1st Formations is seeking a Senior Product Manager to shape the evolution of our integrated platform, owning strategy and execution for key areas including APIs and third-party integrations. You’ll collaborate with engineering, design, and compliance to align user needs with technical feasibility and business goals.

You’ll drive the API roadmap, review integration architectures, and prioritise build vs. buy decisions while mentoring other PMs in a fast-growing, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience, with increasing scope and ownership.
• Strong technical background with APIs, integrations, and system architecture.
• Experience owning a product area with meaningful technical complexity (integrations/platform).
• Excellent cross-functional communication translating technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own product strategy and roadmap for key platform areas, including integrations with third-party services.
• Define and prioritise the API and integration roadmap with engineering on design and architecture decisions.
• Translate business and user requirements into technical specifications engineers can implement.
• Partner with engineering to evaluate build vs. buy and assess third-party partners.
• Work with design to ensure user-facing experiences align with technical capabilities.
• Ensure regulatory requirements are met in collaboration with compliance.
• Define and track product metrics and use data to prioritise and validate outcomes.
• Communicate roadmap and constraints clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Run discovery with users and stakeholders to validate problems before committing resources.
• Mentor and support the development of other product managers.
