Job Description:

Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is a rapidly growing, global operation unit, which significantly impacts the customer experience.

Within ATS, Amazon Freight Partner is a new program that enables entrepreneurs to start and grow their trucking business alongside Amazon, with exclusive and customized learning, ability to hire from their local communities, and long-term growth potential.

The Amazon Freight Partner team is seeking candidates with entrepreneurial spirit who are quick learners and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to help us improve and optimize our operational performance, generating efficiencies through metrics and technology. You will work cross-functionally to develop a global vision of our operations and identify opportunities for improvement, leveraging data and existing or new technology products. You will also oversee metrics, establish governance, and conduct deep dives to understand key influencing factors. This role involves making business-critical decisions to enhance operational performance and influence the direction of the Middle Mile business.

You will collaborate with teams across Operations, Program Development, Global Tech, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Carrier Management, Network Planning, and other organizations within Surface Transportation to develop initiatives that transform our operations. We seek a data-driven innovator, problem solver, and customer-focused professional comfortable working with teams at all organizational levels globally.

Key job responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and monitor metrics to track operational growth and issues, with proper governance mechanisms.
  • Align and collaborate internally and cross-organizationally to enable a single source of information, conducting in-depth analysis of major influencing factors.
  • Develop a deep understanding of tools, data, products, and teams, working on complex problems involving tech and business performance, and leveraging existing solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Gain global domain expertise and assess technology roadmaps by working closely with tech partners and cross-functional teams, identifying pain points, synergies, and value-adding initiatives.
  • Use data to drive decision-making, analyzing feedback and results to improve transparency of key metrics.
About the team

The Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team plays a crucial role in Amazon’s success, utilizing air, sea, and road transport, along with advanced sortation centers, to maximize efficiency. The team uses data-driven insights to make decisions, prioritize safety, and deliver packages quickly, conveniently, and sustainably.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience owning or driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with end-to-end product delivery
  • Experience with feature delivery and trade-offs
  • Experience as a product manager or owner
  • Experience owning technology products
  • Experience with product cycles of 6+ months
  • Experience in product or program management, marketing, business development, or technology
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience influencing senior leadership through data-driven insights
  • Experience working across functional teams and stakeholders
