SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER - 4 MONTH CONTRACT - INSIDE IR35

One of Lorien's leading Public Sector clients is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager for an initial 4-month contract.

This role involves senior product management for the Digital Learning Infrastructure programme, including contributing to a comprehensive business case to advance the programme. The postholder will define requirements and outcomes, emphasizing the value the programme aims to deliver.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing product strategies and roadmaps for medium to long-term delivery
  • Having a strong background in technology delivery
  • Understanding Agile development methodologies
  • Facilitating negotiations across diverse stakeholders in education, Social Care, and beyond to ensure high standards and alignment with organizational goals
  • Communicating complex technical information clearly to internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
  • Working independently to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines

Experience required:

  • Developing and supporting products, especially within health and/or social care sectors
  • Designing and presenting product visions to secure organizational and team adoption
  • Delivering products that provide measurable value
  • Applying Agile methodologies effectively
  • Analyzing development requests
  • Communicating and influencing at senior levels and presenting at various forums
  • Working with minimal supervision and meeting deadlines
  • Adapting to learning and problem-solving challenges
  • Commitment to ongoing personal and professional growth

  • Leadership and influencing capabilities
  • Ability to motivate and lead multidisciplinary teams, providing context and setting clear objectives
  • Coaching and developing team members
  • Engaging confidently with senior staff across the organization
  • Specialist expertise in product management, preferably in the Care sector or academia
  • Strategic thinking aligned with organizational vision, defining product strategies and long-term plans
  • Delivery-focused with disciplined prioritization and efficiency
  • Experience in management roles, including mentoring team members
