Job Title: Senior Product Governance Manager

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Edinburgh or Alderley Edge

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Governance Manager to join our team based in either our Edinburgh or Alderley Edge offices.

As the Senior Product Governance Manager, you will lead, support, and develop the Product Governance Team in delivering value-added and effective oversight of all UK propositions, involving key stakeholders in the UK Customer Team and the wider Group.

A key part of this role is providing insights on the delivery of or risks to good customer outcomes, including the likelihood of foreseeable harm, through fair value assessments and ongoing monitoring.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services and extensive knowledge of product governance best practices. You should be detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Additionally, you should possess exceptional communication and people management abilities, as you will be required to effectively engage and influence stakeholders across the organisation.

About the role
  1. Responsible for delivery of fair value assessments and ongoing monitoring to accurately assess whether propositions are delivering good customer outcomes.
  2. Responsible for the continuous improvement of processes, focusing on delivering value for customers, members, and internal stakeholders.
  3. Support the Customer Life Stage Directors, Long Standing Customer Director, Heads of Proposition, and Product in managing the risk of not delivering good customer outcomes across propositions.
  4. Escalate significant issues, the likelihood of foreseeable harm, or failure to deliver required actions.
  5. Oversee and deliver regulatory/business reporting and MI requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
About you
  1. Experience in people management.
  2. Relevant work experience in product management or an equivalent role.
  3. Strong customer focus; passion for delivering good outcomes for customers and doing the right thing.
  4. Ability to influence peers and management levels.
  5. Strong knowledge of Pensions, Protection, Life, and Savings propositions.
  6. Detailed understanding of the financial services industry and regulatory framework.
