Job description

Job Title: Product Governance Senior Manager

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Edinburgh or Alderley Edge

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Governance Manager to join our team based in either our Edinburgh or Alderley Edge offices.

As the Senior Product Governance Manager, you will lead, support, and develop the Product Governance Team in the delivery of value-added and effective oversight of all UK propositions, involving key stakeholders in the UK Customer Team and the wider Group.

A key part of this role is providing insight on the delivery of or risk to good customer outcomes, including the likelihood of foreseeable harm, through fair value assessments and ongoing monitoring.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services and extensive knowledge of product governance best practices. You should be detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Additionally, you should possess exceptional communication and people management abilities, as you will be required to effectively engage and influence stakeholders across the organisation.

About the role

  1. Responsible for delivery of fair value assessments and ongoing monitoring in area of responsibility to accurately assess whether our propositions are delivering good customer outcomes.
  2. Responsible for the continuous improvement of our processes; focus on delivering value for customers, members, and internal stakeholders.
  3. Support the Customer Life Stage Directors, Long Standing Customer Director, Heads of Proposition, and Product in managing the risk of not delivering good customer outcomes across our propositions.
  4. Escalate any significant issues, the likelihood of foreseeable harm, or failure to deliver required actions.
  5. Responsible for the oversight and delivery of regulatory/business reporting and MI requirements ensuring that reports are accurate and meet regulatory and business requirements.

About you

  1. Experience in people management.
  2. Relevant work experience in a product management and/or equivalent role.
  3. Strong customer focus; a passion for delivering good outcomes for customers and doing the right thing.
  4. Ability to influence peers and management levels.
  5. Strong knowledge of the Pensions, Protection, Life, and Savings propositions in the market.
  6. Detailed knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry and the legislative and regulatory framework.
