Senior Product Engineer – Global Creative & Innovation Studio – London/UK

About the Role

As a Senior Product Engineer, you’ll take ownership across the entire product stack, from embedded systems and containerised microservices to Unreal Engine-based interactions and hardware integration. Working closely with leadership and engineering leads, you’ll help evolve and scale smart display units from design through to field deployment. This role is highly cross-functional, ideal for a hands-on systems generalist who thrives across hardware, software, and real-time media environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage containerised services on Windows/Linux edge devices (K3s, Docker)
• Integrate real-time computer vision with Unreal Engine rendering via message queue systems (Redis, ZeroMQ)
• Design GPU resource sharing strategies (NVIDIA MPS, CUDA, memory management)
• Implement OTA update pipelines using GitOps (FluxCD / ArgoCD)
• Build display firmware and develop robust kiosk environments
• Interface with embedded hardware (Raspberry Pi, Arduino, sensors, cameras)
• Monitor GPU performance, latency, and uptime using Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
• Contribute to real-time content logic and scene control in Unreal Engine
• Assist in thermal/hardware design and field troubleshooting at installation sites

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience across embedded systems, full-stack product engineering, or real-time software
• Deep proficiency in Python, C++, and systems scripting (Bash, PowerShell)
• Expertise with Unreal Engine (Blueprints & C++), especially for real-time data-driven environments
• Familiarity with container orchestration and GPU runtimes (CUDA, PyTorch, TensorRT)
• Strong systems knowledge: networking, edge orchestration, hardware interfaces (USB, GPIO)
• Experience collaborating with CAD/mechanical teams
• Hands-on approach, strong problem-solving mindset, and comfort navigating unfamiliar domains
