Our client, a rapidly growing independent beauty brand, is seeking a Senior Product Development Manager to join their team. The role involves overseeing product timelines and deliverables, requiring strong leadership and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. Note: This is not a creative role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Pipeline Management: Track and meet all product timelines and deliverables to ensure on-schedule project delivery.
2. Team Leadership and Development: Lead the product development team, focusing on commercial metrics and meeting time-to-market goals.
3. Strategic Problem-Solving: Provide innovative solutions to support product roadmaps and operational efficiency.
4. Sourcing Oversight: Lead sourcing for products and packaging, including formulation and components, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
5. Bill of Materials Management: Manage BOMs, COGs analysis, and ensure consistency in product information.
6. Dual Sourcing and Fast-Tracking: Implement sourcing strategies for high-paced projects.
7. Regulatory Documentation: Support compliance documentation for EMEA and APAC regions.
8. Process Creation and Optimisation: Develop and improve departmental processes, ensuring effective training.
9. Operational Foundations: Establish best practices and operational habits within the product operations team.
10. Sustainability Initiatives: Promote eco-friendly practices, sourcing strategies to reduce environmental impact.
11. Quality Control: Review and enhance QC processes to maintain high standards.
12. Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for INCI reviews, packaging, and composition evaluations.

Experience and Qualifications:

1. Project Management: At least 5 years in project management, preferably in FMCG or beauty.
2. Operational Excellence: Proven ability to manage complex projects and timelines.
3. Leadership Skills: Experience leading teams and driving results.
4. Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
5. Attention to Detail: Accuracy in BOMs, costs, and documentation.
6. Problem-Solving: Developing practical solutions to challenges.
7. Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of EMEA and APAC regulations is desirable.
