A leading financial services firm is seeking an experienced Product Designer to enhance customer experiences. You will run the design process from ideation to implementation, focusing on improving onboarding experiences. The ideal candidate has over 5 years in product design, particularly in complex financial sectors, and possesses strong stakeholder management skills. This role offers an engaging work environment in the City of Westminster.
Primarily supporting the conversion team within our UK division, delivering product design — from identification of customer problem statements and clarification of commercial objectives, through to discovery, ideation, solution definition, customer testing, and detailed design development for production and beyond.
Our product designers are some of the business's most passionate and informed customer advocates. Part of your role is to understand what traders think, feel, see, and do, as well as to build an understanding of why. Your job is to create meaningful and impactful customer experiences across a range of touchpoints, with a core focus on improving our account opening and onboarding experience to ensure our customers' first experience is delightful.
Previous experience with optimizing onboarding funnels and design within financial markets or similarly complex, regulated industries is ideal. We seek candidates with 5-7+ years of hands-on product design execution and delivery, capable of translating business and customer needs into elegant solutions with thoughtful and flexible design skills, including typography, grid systems, and cross-platform UI.
You should have a strong appetite for complexity, data, numbers, forms, workflows, and understanding causality versus correlation. Stakeholder management skills are essential, as is the ability to create working prototypes and demonstrate interactive solutions. Experience with animation, presentation, storytelling, and a proven track record of delivering conceptual work are desirable. An appreciation of modern design trends and keen attention to detail across all levels of design are also important.
