About the role
The Exhibition Production Team sits within the larger Exhibitions team at State Library Victoria, and leads end-to-end production, project management and successful delivery of the Library's forward program, annually comprising major exhibitions and other audience-focused exhibits, commissions and displays.
The Senior Exhibition Producer role coordinates the production (development and delivery) of Library exhibition projects, reporting to the Exhibition Production Manager and working closely with the wider Exhibitions team, including the curatorial and collections teams, design and technical specialists.
The Senior Exhibition Producer leads a multidisciplinary project team responsible for the development, production, installation, commissioning, completion, handover and reporting, of exhibitions, and works in consultation with projects sponsors and internal and external stakeholders. The role is also responsible for optimising delivery of exhibitions, testing and prototyping to promote continuous improvement of experiences and material and keeping project contributors informed to coordinate, deliver and maintain highest quality exhibitions and activities within project timeframes and budgets.
