Company Overview

At Cowshed Collective our mission is to create pioneering content that builds communities, drives culture and challenges tradition. We want to entertain audiences, wherever they are, by making what they actually want to watch. We have a shared purpose, to build the new era of entertainment.

Job Description:

As a Senior Producer, you will take a leadership role in overseeing the entire lifecycle of video content projects, from initial brief to final delivery as well as support the HOP in managing and supervising the in-house production team. You will work closely with the production, creative, post-production and client services teams and you’ll be responsible for projects being delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard, while meeting client expectations. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership, and ability to oversee and manage different projects simultaneously. A thorough understanding of the production processes and paperwork is also essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development, production, and delivery of a wide variety of projects, ranging from straightforward studio shoots to more intricate fixed-rig reality show-style productions.
  • Lead project briefings, budget planning, and scheduling, ensuring all production stages are meticulously planned, resourced and executed.
  • Assist the Head of Production in supervising, managing and mentoring junior team members, offering guidance and support to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.
  • Manage and optimise the production budget, including forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant legal, H&S and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist the Head of Production in developing tailored budgets for each project or client brief, ensuring financial plans align with the scope, resources, and objectives. This includes assessing project requirements, identifying cost-effective solutions, and anticipating potential challenges to ensure projects stay within budget while meeting all production needs.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with external production partners, including freelancer, crew, directors, photographers, locations/venues and suppliers.
  • Ensure all projects meet or exceed client expectations and are produced to a high standard.
  • Collaborate with the creative team throughout all stages of development and production to ensure projects are executed in line with the creative brief and within budget and they conform with all production protocols.
  • Liaise with the in-house Head of Post-Production to ensure the appropriate resources and scheduling are in place and quality and consistency is achieved.
  • Collaborate with the client services team to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of projects to clients.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in production processes and workflows.
  • Provide strategic input on project pitches and proposals, leveraging your extensive industry knowledge and experience.
