Senior Procurement Specialist - Procurement Project Manager

Base pay range

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist to facilitate and manage procurement operations. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of managing procurement projects, including strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management, with experience of NEC contracts.

Our client is a well-established organization with multiple clients across various sectors, mainly industrial/utilities. They are a large, globally operating entity committed to sustainable solutions in procurement and supply chain management, maintaining high standards of integrity and service.

Description

You will manage key procurement projects across multiple sites, including sourcing and supplier relationship management.

  • Accountable for managing and leading a procurement team, driving performance to deliver value.
  • Managing the tender process and evaluating major equipment service providers.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to ensure procurement deliverables meet cost, quality, and schedule requirements.
  • Developing and executing procurement strategies.
  • Planning, developing, and executing strategies for optimal value.
  • Managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and conducting review meetings with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs.
  • Identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
  • Managing supply chain risks and developing contingency plans.
  • Preparing and presenting procurement and supply chain performance reports.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems.
Profile

A successful candidate will have:

  • A strong track record in project management, including end-to-end procurement, contracts, and SRM.
  • A degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Good understanding of cost models/business models, particularly NEC models, along with familiarity with accounting practices, audits, forecasting, valuations, and supplier costing models.
  • Experience with NEC3 or NEC4 contracting models.
  • Proactive contract compliance management and correction plan implementation.
  • Package management experience of 'cradle to grave' supply chain management is advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation and strategic planning skills.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
