We are a leading non-profit organisation servicing Scotland’s 32 local authority and over 175 associate members from across the public and third sector. Scotland Excel continues to grow at pace and, due to an internal promotion and a forthcoming maternity leave, we are looking for two experienced Senior Procurement Specialists to join our Contract Delivery team.

In this role you will:

  • support the delivery of national collaborative procurement for Scotland’s local authorities
  • actively contribute to the existing Contract Delivery Plan and also operational management of the contract and supplier relationships
  • be part of a large team to deliver collaborative frameworks which support a wide range of public sector activity including construction, roads, transport, environmental services, facilities management, food and education ensuring all activities are undertaken to the highest standards and within agreed timescales
  • use your in-depth market knowledge to develop and manage innovative solutions that support key stakeholders
  • lead in the development of complex collaborative work
  • have exceptional stakeholder engagement skills to further strengthen relationships with our wide-ranging stakeholders and partners
  • represent Scotland Excel on strategic groups and external forums, ensuring contracts are reflective of policy and best practice

We are looking for:

  • a natural leader to work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver solutionsstrong organisational planning, systems processing and data analysis skills
  • an enthusiastic team member to coordinate and deliver project planning activity, related to existing contracts as well as developing and embedding best practice business processes and systems across the team
  • a colleague dedicated to getting real satisfaction from supporting the delivery of essential public services and bringing social, economic and environmental benefits to our communities
  • someone with Category B experience in procurement
