Role Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Manager – NPD & Projects to join Nidec Drives. You will be responsible for delivering procurement projects and new product introductions (NPD), managing key programs from inception to delivery, and working across the business to align and execute procurement requirements effectively.

You will lead your team through the project lifecycle, demonstrating performance in commercial and timeline aspects, and report bi-weekly to the Procurement Director. You will also play a strategic role in shaping the procurement function's approach and aligning sourcing decisions with company strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Align and direct procurement strategies with global category managers.
• Ensure cross-functional alignment and project reporting.
• Collaborate globally to optimize performance and meet project goals.
• Lead project management meetings and reviews.

Tactical Execution:

• Develop and manage procurement plans for NPD and projects, reporting progress.
• Lead reviews internally and with the wider business.
• Support development plans to meet tight schedules.
• Ensure implementation of NPD plans across regions.
• Maintain KPIs to measure project execution.

Team Management:

• Provide leadership to the procurement NPD team.
• Advocate for procurement approaches and serve as a knowledge resource.
• Monitor and review team performance.
• Communicate effectively across all levels of the business.
• Hold regular reviews with teams and stakeholders.

Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Collaborate with procurement, R&D, operations, and finance teams.
• Facilitate delivery and performance with key stakeholders.

Travel Requirements:

• Potential travel to Nidec locations and suppliers, including international trips.

Qualifications & Experience:

• CIPS, Business Degree, or Project Management qualification.
• Experience in projects, procurement, or supply chain, preferably in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of electronics and mechanical raw parts (preferred).
• Project management experience in complex environments.
• Structured, proactive, and logical mindset.
