Role Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Procurement Manager – NPD & Projects at Nidec Drives. You will be responsible for delivering procurement projects and NPD programs, managing key projects from inception to delivery, and aligning procurement strategies with business goals.

You will lead your team, participate in bi-weekly reviews with the Procurement Director, and influence procurement and supply chain strategies within the organization.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Contribute to strategic business and financial objectives by:

• Aligning with Global Procurement Category Managers on strategies and goals.
• Ensuring cross-functional alignment and reporting on project progress.
• Collaborating globally with regions and functions to optimize performance.
• Leading project management meetings and reviews.

Tactical Execution:

• Developing and managing procurement NPD and project plans.
• Leading reviews and supporting NPD plans to meet tight deadlines.
• Working with regions to implement plans and meet targets.
• Maintaining KPIs to measure project execution.

Team Structure and People Management:

• Providing leadership and direction to the procurement NPD team.
• Advocating for procurement NPD and project approaches.
• Monitoring performance and communicating effectively across the business.

Relationship Management:

• Building strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Collaborating with procurement, R&D, operations, and finance teams.

Travel Requirements:

• Potential travel to Nidec locations and suppliers, including international trips.

Qualifications & Experience:

• CIPS, Business degree, or project management qualification.
• Experience in projects, procurement, or supply chain, ideally in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with electronics and mechanical raw parts (preferred).
• Project management experience in complex environments.
• Structured, proactive mindset.
