Senior Procurement Manager - Innovation and Sustainability Focus at a Leading Airport (Hiring Immediately), Guildford

Join Gatwick Airport Limited, the UK's second-largest airport, as a Senior Procurement Manager to help shape the future of air travel. This role involves leading capital procurement for complex construction projects, emphasizing safety, cost-effectiveness, quality, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the Capital Programmes Supply Chain Strategy (SCS).
  • Approve procurement strategies and tender awards for multiple construction projects.
  • Oversee procurement processes, ensuring compliance and consistency.
  • Manage relationships with approximately 100 suppliers, handling risk and performance.
  • Lead framework procurement and negotiations, establishing controls.
  • Promote best practices in procurement, driving value and efficiency.
  • Build and lead a high-performing procurement team.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC4 contracts, RIBA project lifecycle, and company standards.
Qualifications:
  • Degree or equivalent in a commercial or construction-related field.
  • Professional qualification such as RICS or IACCM; additional certifications like APM, Prince2, Lean are desirable.
  • Proven leadership in large-scale infrastructure procurement.
  • Extensive experience across procurement lifecycle with negotiation and stakeholder skills.
  • Strong understanding of NEC4 contracts and procurement of various professional and construction services.
  • Experience delivering complex procurements in regulated environments.
  • Leadership skills to develop and coach teams in an inclusive environment.
