Job summary

Building Careers UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to oversee procurement for hyperscale data centre projects on behalf of a client, across the UK and international markets. You will manage tender lifecycles, challenge commercial proposals and ensure contract awards meet project requirements.

Your remit covers construction, MEP, equipment and professional services packages, with a focus on long-lead equipment and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in construction, engineering, procurement or commercial management.
• Experience taking tenders from RFP through to contract award.
• Experience with data centres, mission-critical facilities or similar complex projects.
• International procurement across multiple countries (EMEA/APAC).

Responsibilities

• Review procurement strategies, tender programmes and package plans.
• Ensure RFP documentation is robust and aligned with client requirements.
• Review scopes, pricing, evaluation methodologies and contract terms.
• Participate in supplier clarification and commercial meetings.
• Challenge bid evaluations and award recommendations.
• Monitor procurement programmes against critical construction dates.
• Provide weekly reporting on procurement progress and risks.
• Capture lessons learned to improve future projects.
